Rug Buying Guide

Where should I use a runner rug?

Runner rugs work beautifully in hallways, kitchens, laundries and alongside the bed. They help soften high-traffic spaces while adding warmth and texture to areas that are often overlooked.

How do I choose the right runner size?

As a general guide, leave a small border of visible flooring on either side of the runner. A standard runner width is 80cm, which we find fits most corridors, kitchens and laundries.

If you're unsure, send us the measurements or a photo of your space and we'll happily recommend the right size.

Do I need underlay for a runner?

Yes. We always recommend underlay with runners.

Underlay helps keep your runner securely in place, especially in busy walkways where there is no furniture to anchor the rug down.

It also protects both your flooring and the rug while adding a little extra comfort (and saving you and your guests from sliding or tripping).

Can I order a custom runner?

Most definitely. If you're looking for something specific, get in touch and we'll let you know more about your options - whether that is an entirely custom made rug or getting a larger rug cut to the size you need.
